What is a good way to clear out a path or a small spot in a forest filled with vines?
I have a machete, but there are just too many vines, and I don’t have too much money….could I use a small fire and gasoline to clear it out or are there other ways. Possibly chemicals to kill the vines and plants…..I need to do it in one day, by tomorrow….Thank You.
By all means do NOT use fire!! Not unless you want smokey bear up your… umm.. well..
Seriously, fire controlled burning is just way too dangerous to mess with, and put quite simply.. stupid to risk – with all the other factors that could go wrong. Imagine that getting out of control and being responsible for a HUGE out of control fire.
Even if you sprayed chemicals on the vines, it takes a few days to kill them. (next time, try using some bags of driveway de-icing salt in buckets of water – salt will kill anything)
With little pocket money and time.. elbow grease and a sharp blade is your ONLY way to get rid of it by tomorrow. Sharpen that machette! If not – hope you have a rich relative to bail you out, and homeowners insurance paid up!
